To fight the trafficking of children on Lake Volta
Imagine an 8 year old child sold into forced labor in the fishing industry. They have no hope of escape, only the daily fear of injury, starvation or drowning. Their childhood of learning and play has been traded for daily hard work enslaved to a boss they didn’t choose.
Lake Volta in Ghana is the largest manmade lake in the world. It’s thousands of square miles of water that’s hard to patrol. Thousands of kids are illegally enslaved in the fishing industry there.
But one kid here, me, Sam, wants to make a difference. I choose to hand make soft plastic lures to fight for those kids who don’t have a defender. I will fight for them. I love fishing and will take my passion to earn money to help free them.
