Striper-Gear Has Joined the Voltage Fishing Family — A New Chapter Begins
We have some exciting news to share — Striper-Gear has officially joined the Voltage Fishing family!
As many of you know, Striper-Gear has been a trusted name among Northeast anglers for many years, built on craftsmanship, consistency, and a deep understanding of the fish we all love to chase. We’re incredibly honored to carry that legacy forward.
A Mission That Started in a Garage
Voltage Fishing began in a garage when our son Samuel was just 12 years old. He started hand-pouring soft-plastic lures as a way to raise money to help end the forced labor of children in the fishing trade on Lake Volta in Ghana. That's where the name was born - Voltage Fishing.
What began as a small passion project has grown into a purpose-driven tackle company committed to innovation, quality, and making a difference. Today, we’re still family-owned and operated — and we continue to donate 10% of our profits to support this effort through International Justice Mission.
That heart and purpose now multiplies through the acquisition of Striper-Gear.
Honoring the Legacy. Elevating the Craft.
Striper-Gear was built on reliable tackle designed by anglers who understand the water.
Our promise moving forward is simple:
We will continue the same level of craftsmanship and performance — while also bringing new energy, fresh designs, and expanded product offerings.
And yes — that starts now.
New Striper-Gear Lures Are Coming Soon
We’re launching a brand-new lineup of wood and metal lipped lures — just in time for the holiday season.
Whether you’re surfcasting the shoreline or working structure from the boat, we think you’re going to love what’s on the way.
Thank You for Being Part of the Story
Whether you’ve been using Striper-Gear for years or you’re just discovering the brand, we’re glad you’re here. This new chapter is about community, passion, and sharing the thrill of the catch together.
We can’t wait to see what you land next!
Tight lines,
The Voltage Fishing & Striper-Gear Family
